Seven links game and a tag !!!!

Today Iam not posting a new recipe.Just trying to play a new game. Many of you are aware and many have played this game.Seven links game..very interesting ,Isn't it???  I have been tagged in this game by Sobha of Good Food and Priya of Now Serving .I would like to thank them for that. The rules are very simple to learn and its like you can browse your own blog to find your own ratings.

The blogger who is tagged in this game must select the most appropriate posts from his/her blog for the categories below, which are the 7 links:

 1. The most beautiful post
 2. The most popular post
 3. The most controversial post
 4. The most helpful post
 5. The post that was surprisingly successful
 6. The post that did not get the attention it deserved
 7. The post I am most proud of

Then the blogger should publish these in his/her space, choose 5 other blogger friends and pass it so as to keep the ball rolling. So,friends here is an easy way to feel proud about your own blog and at the same time a recollection of all yummy recipes. In my blog, these are the posts which I feel fits into the respective categories.I hope each of my blogger friends would agree to it and enjoy the sum ups.

1.THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POST- I think none of my blog posts have put up that level ;I mean to the level of photography and garnishings ,But one among the rest I would like to choose Black Forest Cake for two reasons.First of all it was my 100th post, never thought I would reach it so soon.Second because my son told me that it was looking better than the bakery made.(They dont show him the layering and frosting and the remaining frosting he can gulp it at home :-)

2.THE MOST POPULAR POST-This is a bit easy task as ever since I posted the Duet Ice cream and Chicken 65;both are on the hit list till date. So,I didn't have to much think about it.I too loved this Ice cream since with two ingredients,I never imagined to freeze an ice cream. The Chicken 65 is also my much interested recipe and so I love to see that on the popular post.

3.THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL POST- As of now, there is none.

4.THE MOST HELPFUL POST-Dates Nuts Laddu was a helpful post to me because my kids just loved to have them and it was a healthy laddu to sneak out for kids.

5.THE POST THAT WAS SURPRISINGLY SUCCESSFUL- There are two posts in this category. The Plantain Pancakes and Baked Broccoli cutlet. The common part about both these recipe are that both are my own innovations. The best part is that both have surprised me with the taste and the responses from all of you.

6.THE POST THAT DIDNOT GET THE ATTENTION IT DESERVED - There are two posts in this category - Easy beef curry and Egg Chicken momos .Beef,I think many donot use it and Egg Chicken Momos was posted initially when I started the blog.(may be because of that:-)

7.THE POST THAT IAM PROUD OF - There are again two posts  as I found it very difficult to decide. The Ice cream Cupcake (eggless)and the Mixed Fruit Salad in Watermelon Basket.Ice cream Cupcake ,as it was a hit at my home and the watermelon basket was a creativity that I add to cravings with fruits and veggies.

I would like to pass this to all my blogger friends as possible but the rule says to pass it to five,so restricting myself to it.

So, friends enjoy the lovely game !!!!!!!!!!!!

Mushroom Butter Masala - Real creamy dish

Mushrooms in any form is one of my family's favourite.I tried many mushroom recipes. This one is become my favourite. This is a bookmarked recipe from Sanjeev Kapoor's Recipe .It has become very easy to write the post as the link is already given. The only thing I modified in this recipe is reduced the addition of cream ,just added 4tsp of cream. So, I didnot get a offwhite creamy colour. But it tasted real good with the mango rice.Do give this a try !!!

Semolina- Dates Cookies (sugarless yet sweet)

Usually its the bleached flour or the wheat flour used for preparing cookies, but here I have used semolina as the binder.Semolina can be replaced with oats .Then comes the other two important ingredients dates and bananas. Bananas are always an easily moulded fruit in any form and are readily available at all times. The bananas with dates modified into cookies is a very easy snack for moms to prepare and a healthy one for pranky ones.I have not added sugar as banana and dates are sweet. These cookies are very soft ones and they can be named as chewy cookies as well.My kids enjoyed them a lot but regarding the storage part ,I think it cannot be stored for more than 2 days.

Ingredients
semolina/sooji  1 1/2 cups (you can replace it with oats)
ripe bananas 3 mashed
dates 3/4 cup
baking soda 1/2 tsp
sugar 2tsp (if required)
vegetable oil 1/3 cup

Method
  • Mash the bananas without adding water in a blender to a smooth paste.
  • Chop the dates to small bits and keep aside.
  • Mix the sooji and baking soda ,add the wet ingredients .mix well.
  • Add the chopped dates.
  • Line a tray with parchment paper and place the mix with a spoon 2'' apart.
  • Pre heat oven to 350 degrees and place the tray.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or till the tooth pick comes out clean  when inserted in the centre of a cookie.
  • Cool it down completely and store in air tight containers for 2-3 days.

Servings 15 cookies
