Stuffed Celery Sticks | Quick Snacks | No Cooking Snacks

After school snacks are very important part of meal for my kids and I find it hard to make healthy snacks with less oil and tasty snacks. They are so eager to know their snack right from the door step and sometimes  I feel snacks are a good way to sneak in veggies and fruits in a pleasing way.Stuffed celery sticks is one such quick and easy snack that can be prepared in a jiffy and there is no cooking involved. My kids love the crunchy celery sticks(now a days) with the cream cheese mixed with dry fruits and nuts.Enjoy making this simple snack for your loved ones and enjoy !!

Preparation time :15 minutes
Cooking time: no cooking
Serves ~ 12-14 sticks
Ingredients
celery 1 bunch
walnuts chopped 3tbsp
cranberry chopped 3 tbsp
cream cheese 8 oz
sour cream/milk 2 tbsp

Method
  • Wash the celery sticks under running water(I use organic celery sticks).Cut them in  2" long pieces(I tend to remove the thick fiber of the celery using a knife, you can leave out just like that too)and place on a plate.
  • Mix the cream cheese with sour cream or milk(I used milk) until softens and becomes in a spreadable consistency.Add in chopped walnuts and toss the cranberries.
  • Scoop out a table spoon of the mixture and spread on each celery sticks.Repeat the same for all sticks.Enjoy !!

NOTES
* I had about 2tbsp left over of the cream cheese mixture.
* You can use any nuts or dry fruits of your choice.
* You can use peanut butter or nutella for stuffing instead of cream cheese too.
