Chicken Sausage Dry Roast / Ullarthiyathu

Many people tend to think sausages are only meant to be made hot dogs.Sausages can be tailored to many other recipes too.In my experience, they are again a quick alternative and easy way of cooking on a busy hectic day.The word roast itself is mouthwatering and when you have these round slices with masala coating,Its just lip smacking !! I usually buy the turkey franks or the chicken franks; You can use your preferred ones. So,Friends enjoy this delicious recipe !!

Ingredients
sausage 4 (I have used chicken sausages)
onion 1 big sliced thin
green chillies 3-4
ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
tomato 1 chopped
chilli powder 3/4 tsp
turmeric powder 1/4tsp
pepper powder 1/2 tsp
garam masala 1/2 tsp
curry leaves
coconut milk thick 1tbsp (optional; enhances taste)
salt
oil 3 tbsp

Method
-Thaw the sausages and wash ,cut into round cut slices.Keep aside.
-Heat the oil in a non stick pan and splutter fennel seeds.Add onion, curry leaves, green chillies & saute till onion is golden brown.Add the ginger garlic paste, saute till raw smell disappears.
-Add the tomato chopped and stir till its mashed.
-Add the spices in medium heat. Add the sausages and cook covered for 10-15 minutes.
-Uncover the lid and mix well.Add the thick coconut milk on low flame and stir until its coated good.
-Serve hot with chapathis!!

Servings~ 1 quarter plate serves 3 adults

NOTES
You can use any sausages,I prefer chicken sausages.
* The roast is perfect with chapathis.
* The addition of coconut milk enhances the taste and reduces the spice level. Also, gives a nice coating to the masala.
