Sweet Bag | Sweet Vermicelli Pockets

the filling
Sweet bag as the name suggests it is sweet in taste. This is good for kids who donot like vermicelli in kheer or payasam(My son is one of them).

Ingredients

for the dough
maida 1/2 cup
red food colour 1/2tsp
salt
water

for the filling
vermicelli 100gms
cashew 1/2cup
condensed milk 1/2tin
cardamom powder 1tsp
butter 2tsp

oil for frying

Method
Knead the flour into a dough as for chapatis.

Take one ball just as the size of a chapati and add 1/2tsp of food colour.(optional step).keep aside.

Place a pan on medium heat and pour butter .

Put the cashews ,fry them and remove it in  a plate.

Fry the vermicelli for 4-5mts and then add the condensed milk .

Mix for sometime and add the cashews, cardamom powder.

Cool it for some time.

Take the dough ,make small balls.

Roll them into small puris ,fill the filling into each and close the ends together like a bag.

Roll the coloured ball into a chapati and cut long stripes on it.

Place one stripe on each of the closed bags like a ribbon tied to the neck.

Deep fry them in oil.

Place it on a paper towel.

Ready to serve.
